Naoko McCracken from Michigan, USA, has published a Japanese WordPress book in October 2006. See Amazon.co.jp listing with google auto-translation. I was very pleased that she has included my WordPress plugin Maintenance Mode in that book and described it on pages 249/250.
Today I’ve received the book from Naoko by mail — it took about 6 weeks from the States to Munich, Germany:
I really didn’t thought that she would send me one of her samples just because of my plugin, but she did ;-)

Galileo Computing bietet eine Online-Version vom Buch „Joomla! – Das Handbuch für Einsteiger“ an.
Das Buch führt in das Content-Management-System Joomla! ein und deckt dabei sehr viele Aspekte ab.
Leider bietet Joomla! nach wie vor noch keinen saubere HTML-Ausgabe, beispielsweise werden an mehreren Stellen HTML-Tabellen ausgegeben, obwohl an diesen Stellen CSS verwendet werden sollte. Zudem gibt es keine guten Kommentar- und Trackback – Mambots (Plugins), um Weblog-Funktionalität zu integrieren. Z.B. Drupal oder Typo3 sind da sehr viel weiter.
